Clearing a Path for The Home Buyer
The snow actually started sometime last night. When I got up this morning, there were a couple of inches on the ground and it was snowing but nothing major. By the time I had breakfast and a cup of coffee (The Washington Post did not get delivered this morning. Don’t get me started.), the snow was really coming down. Right before may wife and I got serious about shoveling the driveway and sidewalk to our home, I made this short vide (less than 2 minutes).
It’s about the importance of clearing a path for the potential home buyer. Hey, we don’t have the Storm of the Century every year so It’s important to remember that home sellers should create an easy path for people to get to their front door. There are lots of vacant houses out there:
- short sales
- foreclosed homes
- people downsizing into retirement communities
- job relocation
- retirement to beach communities
and those vacant homes are not going to get shoveled. That means your home will have an edge for people looking to buy. Trust me on this: if people are out at this time of year and in this type of weather they are in the market to purchase a home.
Anyway, here is a short video about why it’s important.
