Normally I don’t like to lift an article,wholesale from another blogger, but this one had a headline I just couldn’t resist — If You Don’t Buy a House Now, You’re Broke or Stupid. The author of the piece, Marc Roth, is the founder and president of Home Warranty of America which provides those nice little home warranties that most home buyers demand and a lot of home sellers provide as an incentive to buy a house.
The bottom line is that Marc knows his stuff and the real estate industry up and down. If you’re even slightly thinking about purchasing a home this article may be worth the read.

The issue is lack of job confidence, and the fresh memory of March 2009 when the stock market hit its low. There has been psychological and personal financial damage here.
College Park will certainly spring back in the future, but great opportunities exist today for those with stability.

Hey, Doug. No question that College Park will spring back. Unfortunately, Prince George’s County, MD has been hit harder than most of the other MD Suburbs and even DC Metro, generally. The chart is up there to show that prices have dropped significantly and, as the article I referred to states, “If You Don’t Buy Now, You’re Broke or Stupid”.
