OK.  Here’s a confession.  Some days, there really isn’t much going on.

If I were to do what my early real estate training told me to do, I’d be on the phone talking with past clients.  Maybe I would be preparing my annual Christmas gift to my “A List” clients and friends.  At a minimum, I should be organizing my office and my database and preparing for 2010.  You see, I’m told (and I think many people believe) that Realtors never take any time off.  It’s a 24/7/365 job.  It’s true, I’ve gotten some calls late at night and I’ve been stupid enough to answer them.  People e-mail me late at night.  Weekends.  Holidays.

Today, though, not much.  Yeah.  Some e-mails. Looked up some properties that someone thought they might want to see.  Short sales and bank owned foreclosures.  Not my strong suit.  It turns out they’re not ready quite yet anyway.  They haven’t seen a mortgage professional to see if they could get a loan for $5 ’til next payday.  They’re in no hurry.  That’s OK.  Me neither.

So, I just sort of lazed around all day.  I’m into reading a new book — Shoptimism: Why the American Consumer Will Keep on Buying No Matter What, by Lee Eisenberg.  It’s a good book.  Well written.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  Some days there really isn’t much going on.
