This month the Spotlight shines on —John Bartoli

I’ve known John for a long time. I’ve also known John’s family for a long time including John’s mother. So, when John’s mother was living in an assisted living facility and it came time to sell her condo, I was honored that John asked me to help. As with any home that has been lived in by the same person for a long time there were some things that needed updating and fixing. After John and I talked about it a bit, he did what needed to be done and got the condo ready for the market. The preparation paid off and we got an offer almost immediately.

That was only the beginning. Although John had full Power of Attorney to act on his mother’s behalf, no one expected that she would pass away between the time of the offer and the day of settlement. This meant John had to open an Estate for his mother and be appointed as the Personal Representative in order to continue with the sale of his Mom’s condo.

In the end, everything worked out fine only because John stayed focused and did what needed to be done during a time when a son would normally have the time to grieve. It is a true privilege to have John as a friend and client.
