A little over a year ago my wife and I went through the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University because we were living a life of credit cards and debt. We weren’t “in trouble” in the sense that we could meet the monthly bills and make our mortgage payment.  It just seemed that we kept sinking deeper and deeper into debt because we had no structure and no goals to get out of debt.

Dave Ramsey is not for everybody, he tends to be a bit on the conservative side, but his message is simple and infused with a lot of common sense.  He doesn’t charge you a ton of money or claim that he has found a way to make you a millionaire overnight.  He has a “no gimmick” system for taking control of you financial life.
