The Prince George’s County Association of Realtors Annual Awards Banquet
I just came from the Prince George’s County Association of Realtors Annual Awards Banquet and I could just kick myself that I didn’t bring my itty bitty digital camera to take photos. I really meant to but, alas, I did not.
It was a great time with a little over 100 Realtors, Affiliate Members of the Association, family and some of the senior staff from the County Executive’s office. The keynote speaker, Dr. Jacqueline Brown, the Chief Administrative Officer for Prince George’s County, explained the upcoming roll out of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. This is the program designed to help low-to-moderate income folks buy some fo the foreclosed properties that are plaguing the County. The NSP, as it is called, has a lot of restrictions and hoops to jump through but it should be a little help to those who want to buy homes. It will also allow Prince George’s County to buy up some of the more dilapidated homes, make repairs and renovations and then re-sell the homes.
Then the Awards presentation took off with yours truly picking up a plaque along with several of my colleagues.
It was a night of great food, good company, timely information and a little dancing at the ned of the night!
