Does The Washington Post Read the MD Suburbs of DC Blog?
After posting yesterday that I was opposed to the new soccer stadium being proposed for somewhere (anywhere?) in Prince George’s County, The Washington Post came out with this editorial.
It seems that The Washington Post isn’t overly thrilled with the idea of spending public money to build a new soccer stadium, either. In addition to the many good points Washington Post columnist Marc Fisher made in his column, the editorial points out that the promise of slot machines as the panacea for all of Maryland’s budget woes doesn’t seem to be working out as well as expected.
I really like to think of myself as being out in front of issues like this since they affect the area I serve. I’ll defer to the many sharp minds on the Washington Post staff and editorial board, though. After all, they get paid the big bucks to think about this stuff.
I’m just a Realtor who is concerned about his community.
